The Julie Nevada Story
Julie got into show business early and was dancing from the age of three Her early dream was to one day become a Prima Ballerina and after passing an audition to become a junior associate of the Royal Ballet it seemed the path to her dream had begun.
Julie attended the Royal Ballet School “White Lodge” and appeared in ‘The Nutcracker’, at Saddlers Wells and ‘Swan Lake’ at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
Upon the realisation that Julie would not be tall enough to become the Prima Ballerina she left the Royal Ballet to attend The Urdang Academy of Ballet and Performing Arts.
It was at The Urdang Academy that Julie was spotted by Michael Jackson’s choreographer and it was suggested she should concentrate on a singing career as he thought her voice was so outstanding.
Julie was a child star of the West End Stage, with her first starring role as ‘Kate’ in Annie at The Victoria Palace Theatre, in 1980. She then went on to play Louisa in the ‘Sound of Music’, followed by ‘Tallulah’ in ‘Bugsy Malone’.
Julie then embarked on a solo career and at 15 years old began working all over the UK. Opening for many stars and top comics of the day, such as ‘The Love Affair’, ‘Gerry & The Pacemakers’, ‘Freddie Starr’ and ‘Jimmy Jones’ to name a few.

After some minor hits in the US Julie became home-sick and returned to the UK to ply her trade. Since then she has spent the last 25 years not only singing in the UK but all over the world.
Julie has been performing as Tina Turner for the last 19 years and has spent hours and hours studying Tina’s moves, mannerisms, voice and dance routines. She is recognised as one of the leading Tina Turner impersonators in the world, so much so that she has had several mentions on Tina Turner’s European fan club internet sites for her outstanding portrayal of Ms Turner. Julie’s solo show has proven very popular worldwide too. In addition Julie has also been performing as the principle lead in Tina Live theatre show since 2015.
